Cafe Rio was born from a simple belief: that great food has the power to bring people together. Founded by the Rivera family in the heart of Eastvale, California, our restaurant began as a modest neighborhood eatery with a handful of tables and a whole lot of love for fresh, honest cooking.

2013 — The Beginning

First Table, First Dish

Maria and Carlos Rivera open Cafe Rio's doors with just 8 tables, a hand-written menu, and a family recipe for slow-braised short rib tacos that immediately earns a loyal following.

2015 — First Recognition

Inland Empire's Best New Restaurant

The Press-Enterprise names Cafe Rio "Best New Restaurant in the Inland Empire." The accolade brings a wave of new guests and validates the Riveras' bold vision for community dining.

2017 — Expansion

Doubling Down on Flavor

Growing demand drives a full renovation — the dining room expands to seat 60 guests, an open kitchen is installed, and a dedicated catering program launches to serve the wider Eastvale community.

2019 — Delivery Launch

Bringing Cafe Rio to Your Door

We partner with local delivery services to bring our most-loved dishes directly to families across Eastvale and the surrounding area, extending our community table beyond four walls.

2021 — Resilience

Staying Strong for Our Community

Through challenging times, Cafe Rio pivots with grace — launching family meal kits, supporting frontline workers with complimentary meals, and reinforcing just how much this community means to us.

2024 — New Chapter

Online Ordering & Fresh Menu

A completely refreshed menu featuring 20 new seasonal dishes launches alongside our new online ordering platform, making it easier than ever to experience Cafe Rio's bold flavors from anywhere.
